Why Bones Are a Midgame Treasure

Every item in Palworld has a purpose, and Bones are no exception. Early on, they feel pointless because you haven't unlocked the recipes that need them. But once you approach the midgame, they become extremely valuable. Unlike some materials such as Leather or Pal Fluids, Bones cannot be farmed at your base. You won't get them from a ranch or a production line. That means you have to go out into the open world, hunt specific Pals, and earn every single bone. Is that annoying? Yes. Is it worth it? Absolutely.

How I Farm Bones Without Wasting Gold Coins

Bones drop from Pals, but not every Pal drops them, and the drop chance isn't always 100%. In other words, I had to fight a fair number of Pals before I built a decent stock. You can also buy Bones from merchants, but I don't recommend it unless you're desperate. Gold Coins are precious, and you'll need them for other things. Actively farming Bones is the better long-term play.

The best Pals to farm early on are Vixy and Rushoar. I started bumping into Vixies while exploring the Grassy Behemoth Hills. They're small, quick, and often travel in groups, so bring a fast weapon or a Pal that can keep up. Rushoars can be found in the areas surrounding the Fort Ruins and the Rayne Syndicate Tower. What I Craft With Bones

Bones are used to craft a number of important items. Most notably, you'll need Bones to make almost every type of Consumable found at the Medicine Workbench. The first Medicine Workbench unlocks at Technology level 12. With it, I produced Medical Supplies that treat Ulcers and Fractures, as well as Weakened and Depressed Pals. If you've ever watched a favorite Pal suffer from a status condition, you know how valuable those supplies are. 🧪

Mega Gliders and Cement also require Bones. These unlock at Technology levels 18 and 19, respectively. You'll probably only need to craft a single Mega Glider throughout your entire playthrough, but Cement is another matter entirely. Cement is a very valuable material needed to craft a lot of structures around the mid and late game. I learned that the hard way when I tried to build a stone base and realized I was Bone-dry. So even if you're still in the early game, stock up on as many Bones as possible. Future you will be grateful. 🏗️
